Launch of the Taoyuan Train Station Visitor Information Center and the “Information Station” Services of Public and Private Sector Partnership
The Visitor Information Center of Taoyuan Train Station was officially launched on October 1, 2015. It is located at the ticket gate on the second floor lobby in the station, which provides a more spacious and brighter service area, allowing visitors to see it right away and have easy access to Taoyuan’s travel information.
After the Visitor Information Center is launched, tourists have access to comprehensive travel information of all thirteen districts in Taoyuan, the related promotional materials of tourist activities organized by various bureaus/offices, the City’s major policy information, art and cultural activities, and “Taoyuan Story” magazine that shares local stories of Taoyuan. In addition, the Center will hold small activities from time to time to celebrate certain special occasions and interact with visitors.
The Center also provides unlimited free Wi-Fi, emergency recharging for smart devices, postcard sending service, application of citizen card for students studying out of the City, and application of Youth Travel Card, while assisting foreign visitors in the application of i-Taiwan. All these services will help visitors enjoy the City’s “smart” life and extraordinary charm.
Currently, the Taoyuan City Government has also coordinated private sectors to provide the “Information Station” services in the following five locations: Ming Yi Tang (handmade incense) next to Taoyuan Tourist Night Market, Monarch Skyline Hotel in Luzhu District, Les Enphants Tourist Building, Daxi Cultural Association in Daxi Old Street, and Guey Lin Hotel in Nankan downtown, where tourists can have access to localized services such as simple travel inquiry and information, Wi-Fi, or downloading maps for attractions near the “Information Stations” .
