Taoyuan Achieves First International Recognition for Its Unique Event
The results of the "2024-2025 Taiwan Tourism Biennial Calendar" selection by the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications have been announced. The "Longgang Rice Noodle Festival in Taoyuan" has been elevated from a national to an international event, ranking alongside well-known events such as the New Taipei Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival, Christmasland in New Taipei City, Taipei New Year's Eve Party, and White Night. This marks the first time a Taoyuan City event has achieved international status. The Longgang Rice Noodle Festival, now in its 13th year, aims to promote the connection between festivals and local culture. After a five-year hiatus, the festival has returned to the charming Golden Triangle shopping district, ensuring deep local roots. Efforts in event design and international marketing and promotion for the Rice Noodle Festival have been intensified.
Series of Events Offer Deep Cultural Experiences with Exotic Flavors
The 2023 Longgang Rice Noodle Festival is curated with the spirit of local celebrations, creating a unique cultural atmosphere in the neighborhood. The first week features the "Water-Splashing Festival," followed by the "Torch Festival" of the Yunnan ethnic minorities, a long street banquet, themed parades, cultural DIY experiences, gourmet food, and a limited series of in-depth cultural courses. This year, the festival has specially invited new residents to participate in the long street banquet, with arrangements for a Halal area to offer an immersive experience in unique foreign cultures and a Halal food section, allowing participants to personally experience these distinct exotic charms.
