The country's first airport livestream, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Live Camera, received 1.1 million views in just 10 days after being launched by Department of Tourism, Taoyuan City Government on November 29, 2023. It was instantly in the spotlight among tourism live cameras in the country. Overseas viewers account for 20% of the total, adding to Taoyuan's outstanding achievements in international tourism promotion. The unique feature of Taoyuan Airport’s live camera lies in its true presentation of flight dynamics. Currently, the average daily view count is about 100,000. During the day, about 1,000 viewers are concurrently online, watching the planes take off and land. Even late at night, there are about 500 viewers online. Department of Tourism has arranged dedicated personnel to thoughtfully operate the camera for angles meeting the expectations of the viewers. Highlights are also edited and curated so that no interesting scenes will be left out.

In the online questionnaire, more than 90% of the responses gathered were positive toward setting up a live camera at the airport for the purpose of promoting tourism.
