Festivities for Chinese Valentine’s Day and Mid-autumn Festival Kick off One After Another
The event of “Fun Cihu” featuring the theme nights for Chinese Valentine’s Day and Mid-autumn Festival was held at Daxi Cihu Memorial Sculpture Park in Taoyuan City. The event kicked off with a fire dance and light show. The installation art at the sections of “Cute Rabbit Going to the Moon” and of “Shiny Love” and food trucks at the bazaar brought romantic atmosphere to the venue.
Romantic Festive Week for Chinese Valentine’s Day Kicks Off
Taoyuan’s Department of Tourism has transformed Cihu into a sightseeing spot for people, young and old, and connected surrounding tourist attractions to enable tourists to have fun from daytime to night.
The opening performance for the festive week (August 9-11) of Chinese Valentine’s Day included the dazzling performance of the Fire Dance Group and a romantic light show under the starry night. Highly illuminated beam lights and laser lights displayed gorgeous light and shadow, creating a romantic atmosphere. Additionally, the activities of DIY and collecting stamps for a free gift were available at the event. Moreover, the elements of Oriental love myths were integrated at a theme section.
Outdoor Cinema and Cooking Lesson
Department of Tourism suggests that tourists visit Mt. Jiaoban Residence, Baiji Shaded Trail, Daxi Old Street, Daxi Wood Art Eco-Museum, Shihmen Reservoir or Window on World Theme Park in the daytime. A wide variety of travel options going with the night event at Cihu are suitable for families in summer.
