Event Highlights
The 2025 Taoyuan City Cosplay Carnival will be held on June 7 - 8, 2025 at Landmark Plaza in Qingpu, Taoyuan. Centered on family fun, the event brings together cosplay competitions, Japanese idol culture, and ocean conservation education - drawing crowds of visitors in full costume.
Day 1 features an ocean-themed family costume program, including a family ocean cosplay styling contest and a family ocean cosplay parade. The first 300 participants will receive a limited-edition anime gift pack and ocean-themed headwear. A professional theater troupe will also present an interactive, costumed children's play that makes learning about ocean conservation fun and engaging.
Day 2 hosts Taiwan's representative selection contest for the World Cosplay Summit, the world's largest cosplay competition. The champion team will earn the right to represent Taiwan in Japan and compete for the world title. The day also includes a performance and handshake meet-and-greet with Japanese idol group SAKURA GRADUATION, offering an authentic experience of Japanese idol culture.
A family cosplay market will be open on both days, and free costume try-on experiences will be available on-site.
Pre-Event Warm-Up
Ahead of the official opening, a mascot meet-and-greet will help build excitement. Featured characters include Super Bee, a Taoyuan local vegetarian-themed mascot, as well as mascots from partner attractions Shu Shin Bou Kirigakure and the Mantou Family - inviting families to join the fun early.

This year's event also links up with Shin Kong Cinemas, Shu Shin Bou Kirigakure, and Matsu New Village Cultural and Creative Park to roll out limited-time promotions during the event period, encouraging visitors to get creative and enjoy the fun of dressing up while exploring nearby attractions.
