Upgrading the international version of Taoyuan's official travel website from the perspective of the visitors
In 2024, visits to the "Taoyuan – First stop in Taiwan" website exceeded 6.6 million, of which the number of views by overseas visitors enjoyed a 20% growth compared to pre-pandemic time. It shows that international tourists pay more and more attention to the site. Through this upgrade of the international version, visitors’ browsing experience is expected to further improve.
The current upgrade is designed from the perspective of international tourists. In addition to the brand-new English, Japanese, and Korean pages, a new guest welcoming service in Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese was also introduced. It is hoped that the new content and user-friendly services will help generate more interest from international tourists such that they will consider visiting and getting to know Taoyuan.
The three guest-welcoming service highlights targeting visitor preferences and needs
The brand-new international guest welcoming services on the "Taoyuan – First stop in Taiwan" website, in addition to new content in six languages, also includes three main highlights: First, the website redirection service allows visitors to access the website in the language they searched in or based on their current location. Second, big data on tourist behavior are analyzed to rank popular attractions among overseas tourists, suggest itineraries, and present to website visitors popular attractions among fellow visitors from their country. The third highlight, a dedicated section of user-friendly guidance, allows visitors from abroad to easily grasp key travel information about Taoyuan.
