International Event Held for 15 Consecutive Years
This year marks the 15th anniversary of Taoyuan Longgang Rice Noodle Festival, which has been approved by Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications and recognized as a “world-class special event.” Zhong Zhen New Village Cultural Park has been selected one of top 100 sightseeing spots in Taiwan. Three sections of the long street feast were held for the first time this year, with 88 banquet tables of dishes at each section. Tickets to the first section were sold out within 24 hours.
Traditional Festivities Held to Pray for Myanmar after Earthquake
As a powerful earthquake struck Myanmar in March, 2025, traditional Songkran Festival and Torch Festival turned into a blessing ritual. During the ritual, disaster relief operations were carried out for victims affected by the Myanmar earthquake.
Rich and Diverse Cultural Experiences
Special stands and DIY activities, including watching parades, singing folk songs, playing games, wearing traditional costumes and so on, were available at the venue. Zhongshan Road in Longgang has over 60 rice noodle restaurants that offer Dian-Mian (Yunnan and Myanmar) cuisine.
Longgang spanning the three districts of Zhongli, Pingzhen and Bade is a residential area for the Dian-Mian (Yunnan and Myanmar) army when they withdrew to Taiwan. Tourists can visit Zhong Zhen New Village Cultural Park, Zhong Zhen Market, Matsu New Village, the mosque and so on.
