Taoyuan has launched seven themed Pearl Coast tours combining mountain forests, rivers, coastal ecology, and local experiences, with registration and package sales opening at 2:00 PM on May 6, 2026. Tours start at NT$ 799 and are led by professional guides, featuring Qiangu (Traditional Beach Seine Fishing), Stone Weir, and algal reef tours, along with Houhu Creek kayaking, coastal e-bike rides, Wujiutongshan hiking, and giant water lily rides.
The tours connect Caota Sand Dunes, Xucuogang Wetland, Fanjiang's Old Houses, Conch Plaza, and Ganquan Temple, offering visitors a deeper understanding of coastal landscapes and local culture. Independent travelers can purchase the NT$ 279 "Taoyuan Pearl Coast Gift Package," which includes NT$ 600 in local vouchers, along with discounts at more than 30 participating businesses. The package can be redeemed for bicycle rentals, dining, hands-on experiences, and souvenirs, and includes a free ocean-recycled pencil pouch.
The initiative also supports seven local businesses in developing specialty products such as e-bikes, coffee, handmade sauces, honey, and meat jerky, while improving their premises to enhance the coastal tourism experience.
The "Mountain-Sea Triple Challenge" includes paddling on Houhu Creek, cycling 40 kilometers along the coastline on an e-bike, and climbing Wujiutongshan to take in views of the sea and aircraft takeoffs and landings. The tours also incorporate mountain villages, farms, countryside trails, and local farm-to-table cuisine, creating more opportunities for visitors to connect with the community. Alongside the launch of specialty products, the industry support program helps businesses upgrade their signage and facade designs. For registration details and package information on the themed tours, visit Taoyuan Tourism website and the event website.
