The Director of the Taoyuan Department of Tourism stated, " the North-Cross Island Highway has the potential for international tourism, not just for Taoyuan but for all of northern Taiwan. After the pandemic, the North-Cross Island Highway was rebranded under Explore North-Cross in 2023, with several attractive themed tours, elevating the North-Cross Island Highway’s tourism to an international level.
