Taoyuan Pearl Coast Unveils Five Specialty Gifts Rooted in Local Culture
Before the 2026 Dragon Boat Festival, Taoyuan launched five specialty Pearl Coast gift sets. Through industry guidance, local farmers and food businesses were paired to improve packaging and develop products that incorporate coastal culture, natural scenery, and local stories.

The "Stone Weir Seafood Sauce Gift Box" from Katomili Garden Cafe in Xinwu presents traditional stone weir fishing culture through dried fish sauce and dried shrimp sauce, both hand-stir-fried without added salt. Ding Hao - Hakka Food Flagship Restaurant in Guanyin turns local whitebait into meat jerky for its "Fortune Piggy Gift Box," whose outer box can be reused as a piggy bank after the jerky is consumed.

The "Artist Series Drip Coffee Gift Box" from Monet Creative Garden in Xinwu features artwork themed on the garden itself, Conch Plaza, and the night scenery of Yongan Fishing Harbor, each paired with a distinct coffee flavor. Douqu Coffee in Luzhu has created distinctive coffee flavors inspired by Wujiutongshan, Xucuogang Wetland, Baisha Cape Lighthouse, and stone weir culture. Lanyuan Bee Farm's "Four Seasons Honey Harvest" gift box uses natural honey harvested in Taiwan throughout the four seasons, highlighting seasonal harvesting.

The five products each showcase local character in different ways: the seafood sauces use simple ingredients and handmade packaging to preserve a homestyle flavor, while the jerky gift box incorporates the Pearl Coast brand identity and allows its packaging to be reused. The coffee gift boxes adjust roast levels and flavors to match the character of each landmark, with some using integrated one-piece packaging, while the honey gift box captures seasonal floral aromas. Through design and storytelling, this guidance program has helped businesses establish local brands; store information is available on the Taoyuan Pearl Coast website.
