Taoyuan Promotes Northern Cross-Island Highway in Singapore: Thirteen Themed Tours Set to Launch After October
Taoyuan took part in the NATAS Holidays 2026 travel fair in Singapore from August 21 to 23, 2026, under the theme "Dancing with Stars on the Northern Cross-Island Highway," showcasing the highway's natural and cultural resources through Atayal Culture, mountain stargazing, and digital interactive experiences. On August 24, the city also attended an industry promotion event to discuss itinerary planning, transportation arrangements, and target markets with travel operators.

At the exhibition booth, visitors learned about the Northern Cross-Island Highway's features through an Atayal traditional totem painting game. Visitors who completed the task could redeem a limited-edition postcard. Taoyuan also introduced thirteen "Explore Northern Cross-Island Highway" themed tours to Singaporean travel operators, covering stargazing, the Lalashan Sacred Trees, seasonal fruit picking, and Atayal culture.

Planned itineraries include the two-day tour "Opening Up the Northern Cross-Island Highway: Starlit Nights and Sacred Trees," the one-day "Fruit-Picking Tour," and the two-day "Stargazing and Slow Travel Through Atayal Culture at Lala Mountain," combining mountain night views, natural ecosystems, and agricultural experiences. The tours are expected to be rolled out in stages after October 2026, with information available through the Taoyuan Travel App.
