In coordination with the 2026 Citizens Sports Games and the Taiwan Design Expo, Taoyuan will expand its "Taoyuan GO" themed itineraries from ten to twelve, offering one-day and two-day tours covering urban aesthetics, old-town heritage, Hakka village landscapes, coastal scenery, Atayal forests, and local experiences.
The new "Taoyuan Old Town Heritage One-Day Tour" connects the Taoyuan Railway Pavilion, Taoyuan Literature Museum, Taoyuan Tudigong Culture Museum, and Hutoushan Park. The "Taoyuan Hakka Village Landscape One-Day Tour" includes a pounded tea experience at Dabeikeng and visits Baisha Cape Lighthouse, Yongan Fishing Harbor, and Fugang Town, combining coastal scenery with Hakka culture.
In addition to Citizens Sports Games participants, team staff, and accompanying family members, discounts on designated itineraries are now extended to active-duty and retired military personnel. For one-day tours, the second traveler in a pair receives 50% off; for two-day tours, the second traveler receives a NT$ 1,500 discount. Military personnel must provide identification and pass verification in accordance with partner channel requirements. Discount slots are limited; departure dates, fees, meeting points, and eligibility are subject to announcements on the official website and partner channels.
This expansion was announced on September 3, 2026, to coincide with Armed Forces Day and broaden eligibility. The new urban itinerary allows visitors to learn about railway development and urban change at the Taoyuan Railway Pavilion, while the Hakka village itinerary offers a pounded tea activity at Dabeikeng Recreational Agriculture Area to experience local culture. Travelers can combine their trips with the Taiwan Design Expo and sports events held from September to October. Registration for all itineraries is currently open; early-bird discounts have sold out, and further itinerary and discount information is available on the "Taoyuan GO" official website.
